Shannon Berg’s hat trick powered the Red Hook High School girls soccer team to a 4-2 Mid-Hudson Athletic League triumph over visiting New Paltz on Wednesday.
Red Hook (5-2-1) got off to a fast start with goals from Berg and Isabelle LaBarbera.
New Paltz started off the second half with a goal from Jenna Moranski assisted by Honour Butler. The Huguenots tied it up early in the second half on a goal by Cerissa Divalentino in the 23rd minute from Marcelina Martynek.
Berg scored her second goal in the 33rd minute to put Red Hook up for good.
Roy C. Ketcham 2, Our Lady of Lourdes 1 — Shannon LaPerche scored on an assist from Kim Quiles 27 minutes into the second half to lift the host Indians (4-3-1) to a league victory.
Quiles had scored one minute into the game, but Lourdes’ Meghan Riccardi answered back 30 seconds later to tie the score.
Annika Jendras made six saves for Ketcham. Mary Riley made eight saves for Lourdes.
Spackenkill 4, Onteora 1 — Aislinn Speranza and Katie Lillis scored two goals each to lift the Spartans. Speranza scored the first two goals, assisted by Morgan Dominick and Caitlin Speranza. Lillis followed up with her goals, with each Speranza sister getting an assist.
Rhinebeck 4, Millbrook 0 — Megan Heller, Michelle Giamportone and Rachel Tigges each had a goal for visiting Rhinebeck in the MHAL match.
Rhinebeck’s fourth goal resulted from an own goal.
Aimee Jacques made 11 saves for Millbrook (3-3-1), which hosts Pine Plains on Monday.
Arlington B 3, Brewster 0 — Emma Irwin, Amanda Brennan and Melanie Sarnicola scored for the host Admirals.
Maddie Minnow made eight saves for Arlington B (3-1-1), which visits North Salem Friday at 4:15.
Dover 3, John A. Coleman Catholic 0 — Julianna Browne stopped three shots in goal and scored a goal off a penalty kick in the 29th minute of the second half for host Dover in the MHAL match.
Katy Pellicciotti and Krista Caione also scored for the Dragons (3-3).
Pawling 4, Poughkeepsie 1 — Michelle Piazza, Fiona Espinosa, Illyza McQuade and Annie Carlson all scored a goal for host Pawling, which received eight savesfrom Ali Carlson.
Kim Reyes had Poughkeepsie’s goal.
Haldane 1, Lakeland 0 — Bailey McCollum scored the game’s only goal from Nicole Pidala in the 26th minute of the first half.
Saugerties 2, Highland 0 — Kara Benicase stopped 13 shots for the Huskies, who fell to 2-3-1.
Wallkill 1, Marlboro 0 — Michelle Nowak made four saves, but the host Iron Dukes fell to 2-3.
Rondout Valley 2, Franklin D. Roosevelt 1 — Makayla Tompkins scored the lone goal for the visiting Presidents (1-5).
North Salem 4, Beacon 0 — Mary Hernandez stopped eight shots in goal for visiting Beacon (1-5).
Erik Dianni scored three straight goals in the second half as visiting Millbrook shut out host John A. Coleman Catholic, 4-0.
Rory Shoemaker scored in the first half for Millbrook (3-4), which hosts Pine Plains at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
