Springs boys, girls track and field teams finish first

Random Lake Invitational: Both the Springs boys’ and girls’ track and field teams finished first at the Random Lake Invitational, as both teams combined for 23 first place finishes. there were a total of six teams in the meet.

The boys’ had 15 first place finishes of their own and Darin Ward, Sam Schrauth, Andrew Skiff and Ryan Grandlic all had two first place finishes themselves. Ward finished first in the 110-meter hurdles and long jump while Schrauth took first in the shot put and discus. Skiff placed first in the 1,600 and 800 while Grandlic owned the 200 and triple jump.

They also dominated the relay runs, winning the 3,200, 800, 400 and 1,600.

On the girls side, five different girls won events while the 400 and 3,200 relay teams took first as well. Those who finished first include Molly Kluever (100-meter hurdles), Liz Bohn (400), Melanie Schneider (200), Abby Busse (3,200) and Jenny Woznick (discus).
