Springs, WLA at Green Lake/Princeton Invitational: The fifth-ranked Ledgers girls team won the invitational, 10 points ahead of Poynette at Green Lake Tuscumbia Golf Course.

Springs’ Liz Bohn picked up another win, leading the girls’ field in 16 minutes and 19 seconds. Teammates Paige Case and Emily McGovern were fourth and fifth both in17:58, while Morgan Krupp and Bailey Hoch were 10th and 12th.

“This was a great meet for the girls,” Springs coach Shane Smith said. “Even though a few of the girls were sick, they dug down and raced with their heart. It was a great win.”

The Ledger boys placed fifth overall, led by Alan Burkart’s seventh-place showing in 18:12. Matt Land and Todd Petrie were 26th and 27th, while Spencer Starks and Jake Butzen were 41st and 47th.

Winnebago Lutheran Academy’s Mitchell Bilitz won his second straight race, topping the boys’ field in 16:17 as the Vikings placed eighth out of 10. Markesan won the boys’ meet.

WLA’s Josh Frey was 22nd, Andrew Breister was 43rd, while Connor Coleman and Caleb Rosenau were 66th and 67th.

The Viking girls placed sixth out of eight, led by Courtney Williams taking 21st in 19:13. Samantha Freund was 28th, Jenna Schmitz 29th, while Kelli Bahls and Monica Tews were 31st and 40th.
