BUFFALO, N.Y.-Third seeded St. Francis advanced to Ralph Wilson Stadium with a big win over sixth seeded Cardinal O’Hara, 44-0 in the Monsignor Martin quarterfinals Thursday evening.
With the win, St. Francis has beaten Cardinal O’Hara four out of its last five games. The Red Raider’s Jacob Braunscheidel and Devantie Campbell both recorded safeties as the Red Raiders took an early 17-0 lead. Senior running back Brendon Misterman rushed for 240 yards and three touchdowns. St. Francis rushed for 301 yards in total offense.
St Francis will play second seeded St. Joe’s next Thursday at the Ralph in the semifinals. The game will start at 5PM.
Fifth seeded Bishop Timon-St. Jude beat fourth seeded St. Mary’s, 24-7 in the other quarterfinal game. Running back Arenzo Thomas rushed for 183 yards on nine carries. Bishop Timon will face regular season champion Canisius in the semifinal. This game is a rematch of last year’s final in which Canisius won. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
