Seniors Ryan Stamler and David Marable, who helped St. Joseph’s to back-to-back Class A state championships, have signed to continue their baseball careers at The Citadel and Erskine College, respectively.
Stamler, a Class A all-state selection each of the past two years, has been a member of the St. Joseph’s varsity team since the eighth grade. He also has played with the West End Baseball Academy, the Diamond Devils and the Upstate Mavericks.
Stamler has pitched and played center field for the Knights and was recruited by The Citadel as a pitcher.
Marable, also a two-time Class A all-state selection, has been a member of the SJCS baseball program since the sixth grade and has been the starting catcher on the varsity team since his freshman year. He also plays on the West End Baseball Academy Showcase Team.
