School: Houston County High School (Warner Robins, GA)

Name of Section: HoCo LOCOS

Known for: The HoCo Locos BEAR DOWN. They support just about every team at the school. From traveling to away games in all corners of the state to painting up on Thursday nights for home games, and even lining the fences at soccer games singing as if they were in England. They chant and cheer during basketball games. They lived up to their name in the past and have truly driven the administration LOCO – doing things like tossing pink and white Baby powder on senior night.

In their words:

A poem written about the HoCo LOCOS, by a Houston Country student

“Bear Down”

By Lawson Trawick

Bearing down is not just a saying or something you do

It’s a way of living, eating, sleeping, and working too!

As we say it, people are intimidated

So when we bear down, we’re never underestimated.

Inside the stadium, we gather and cheer

Louder and louder for everyone to hear.

To finish the game while cheering everyone’s name

We run and shout without any shame.

The Loco’s, the best student section in the state, always bear down

And even after a loss, never own a frown.

So everybody, worn out from bearing down all day

Go home… and hit the hay.
