School: Bernards High School (Bernardsville, N.J.) – Home of the Mountaineers

Name of Section: The Red Sea

Known for: Hosting themed color nights for home games – Black-outs, White-outs, Pink-Outs, and of course the Red Sea. These nights have been very successful in bringing the community and student body together in support of their 2-time division championship football team. They have been bringing in over 3000 fans to home games – a very big deal for a small community.

In their words: “The Bernards High School student section is the best place to be at the Friday night games. Getting a great turnout and being with all our friends and cheering for the team is exciting and we look forward to it every week.”

-Kate Conti, class of 2015

“The student section at Bernard’s is something that someone who went here will never forget. Watching out best friends playing under the lights on Friday nights is special, but the themes are what makes it fun for us fans. We at Bernard’s take pride in our student section and we consistently come up with entertaining themes. Themes such as neon night, pink out, and camo out to draw in more kids to help make our crowd one of the best in the state.”

-Declan Swartwood, class of 2015
