Not only did the Suffern girls 1,600-meter relay team win its event in the Rockland/Orange division and qualify for the Millrose Games, but it broke the school and Rockland County records that had stood for 10 years and posted the fastest time in the nation this season at 3 minutes, 51.5 seconds, in the Millrose Trials Wednesday night at The Armory.

Sarah Adler (57.6 split), Soraya Theard (59.9), Imani Solan (57.4) and Kam McIntosh (56.3) were the runners.
The New Rochelle girls 1,600 relay took the Westchester/Putnam/Dutchess division in 4:01.37. The Huguenots’ Briyah Brown won the weight throw at 15.05 meters.
The Millrose Games are scheduled for Feb. 16 at The Armory.
