KENMORE, N.Y.-Sweet Home beat Kenmore East 34-6 Saturday afternoon to remain unbeaten on the season.
With the win the Panthers clinches the Class A North title for the seventh straight year.
Sweet Home led 7-0 at halftime but exploded for 27 second half points. The Panthers opened the scoring in the second quarter when quarterback Kevin Torillo found Brandon Smiley for a 21 yard touchdown.
Torrillo was 13 for 14 for 172 yards and the touchdown to Smiley. Smiley had five catches for 106 yards and the score. Running back Jordan Evert ran for 153 yards on 17 carries. Evert had two touchdowns runs, one for 25 yards and the other for 60 yards.
Sweet Home’s defense held Kenmore East to 179 total yards.
Next up for the unbeaten Panthers, unbeaten McKinley. Sweet Home coach John Faller told Two On Your Side “Its a non league game. Sweet Home is undefeated and won their division and McKinley is unbeaten and won their division.”
Kickoff is scheduled for 2-pm Saturday afternoon at Sweet Home.
