Lacrosse signup set for Jan. 31

DELTA TWP. – Sign Up Night for Warriors Lacrosse is Jan. 31, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the Waverly High School Cafeteria.

The Warriors Lacrosse club is open to Female and Male Players, grades 4-12 from the Waverly Community Schools, Lansing Catholic or a greater Lansing Catholic school. Bring your used equipment to sell at the used equipment sale. Spirit Wear Order forms and New equipment will be available at the meeting as well.

Exercise classes on tap in Delta

DELTA TWP. – Delta Township 39ers are offering new exercise classes for active, older adults:

* Balance, Tone, and Stretch

Class begins Feb. 4 and meets Monday and Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Delta Township Enrichment Center.

* Zumba Gold

Instructor: Barbara Rossi, Licensed Fitness Instructor

Class begins Jan. 28 and meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the Delta Enrichment Center.

* Tai Chi

Class begins Jan. 16 and meets Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. in the Delta Enrichment Center.

Ski and snowshoe night fests set

Eaton County Parks invites everyone to cross-country ski or snowshoe under the stars on illuminated trails or enjoy the sledding hill during the night Ski and Snowshoe Fests at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge. All night fests run from 6-9 p.m. (weather permitting) on the following Fridays and Saturdays: Jan. 19 and Feb. 1 and 2.

Participants can warm up by the wood burning stove at the sledding hill or at the Nature Center. The Nature Center, located at the bottom of the sledding hill, will have hot chocolate available. Rentals available on a first come, first served basis at the office.

Cost for event is $2 per person with own equipment (payable at office) or $5 per person per hour to rent equipment. A picture ID is required for rentals. Motor vehicle entry fee waived for this event.
