Northside (Warner Robins, Ga.) WR/DB Devonte Taylor delivered a hit in Thursday night’s game against Westside (Macon, Ga.) that made at least one fan jump out of her seat. (To be honest, I just jumped out of mine.)
With Northside leading Westside 21-14 at the end of the third quarter, Taylor met the Westside QB at the line of scrimmage, went low, and sent him toppling head over heels for no gain. Westside was forced to punt, Northside scored on its ensuing possession and the Eagles held on for a 28-14 win.
Taylor’s play was decidedly less exciting if you only saw it on Northside’s Twitter feed.
