The Redmen won all five matches in straight sets, dominating the Crimson Flashes in a Monday Northern Ohio League tennis match.
Collin Covella won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles for Bellevue (10-1, 5-1) which also got singles wins from Brent Runion (6-4, 6-3) at second singles and Matt Poock (6-3, 6-2) at third singles.
The first doubles team of Blake Kryling and Drew Ring were 6-2, 6-2 winners for the Redmen. Tony Harper and Cody Henderson won 6-3, 6-0 at second doubles.
“Willard played us a little tougher tonight than the first time we played them, but we came through with a 5-0 win so I’m happy,” Bellevue coach James Picciuto said. “They’ve got a decent young team coming up with a lot of guys coming back, but for now we’ll enjoy the win. I gave the match ball to Poock tonight because he played well for us.”
