Kelsey Wainright was the leading scorer on a stacked Highlands Ranch team.

The senior helped lead the Falcons to a 23-5 record and to the Final 4 for the 13th time in school history.

D’Evelyn’s Laura Tyree had a fantastic year for the Jaguars scoring 13 points per game, with 5 assists and 5 steals.

Tyree and the Jaguars advanced all the way to the 4A state final for a 2nd straight year.

16.5 points per game for Pueblo South’s Mikala Gordon. Her buzzer beating basket in the semi finals forced overtime and helped the Colts go on to win their 5th state championship in school history.

2 players from the 5A state champs make this list. 1st is Regis Jesuit’s Diani Akigbogun who averaged nearly 14 points per game and added 8 rebounds for the Raiders who finished 26-2.

Our 9news player of the year is Regis Jesuit’s Justine Hall. 17 points per game this season. More importantly three 20+ point games in the playoffs, including 24 in the state title game helping the Raiders capture their 2nd girls basketball championship.
