Introducing … Rachel Bauer

I currently drive a … 1995 Honda Accord.
Someday, I’d like to be driving a … It doesn’t matter to me. A car is a car. If I could, I would run everywhere.
The best part of my hometown is … I don’t really know besides that I’ve lived in Essex my whole life and it’s just that familiar feeling with the people you met and the places you have been.
My dream city to be living in 10 years from now is … I don’t really have a desire to move anywhere for good but I’d like to travel around the world.
The ultimate compliment is when I get compared to … my father.
The websites I couldn’t live without … Brooks(running shoes) and Pandora
The greatest meal ever is … chicken with broccoli, rice and fried veggies!

My cant-miss tv show … Well sadly I don’t have one because I end up watching the insides of my eyelids anytime I get a chance to relax.
My favorite pro team is … I guess the ravens
One thing that my coach says that I will never forget … Haha he says a lot and all of it is so motivating! But he says no matter what place I’m in if it’s last or first, To run my race, don’t worry about anyone else and finish with heart. And I won’t forget his chant … AUER! BAUER! BAUER!
I will consider myself a success when I … I already consider myself a success (not to seem conceited) but success in my eyes is not giving up and to learn from your mistakes.
If I won the lottery the first thing I’d buy is … I don’t think I would buy much at first, I think I would help pay bills and expenses at home first.
If I could tell one person thanks it would be … my dad (Wayne Bauer) and mom (Penny Bauer) for being so supportive and making me a strong person.

JASON JORDAN’S WHAT I’M THINKING TODAY …
I like how Saint John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) quarterback Josh Rosen is handling his recruitment.
My fellow reporters won’t like this but he’s basically saying he’s shutting communication down with the media.
He recently tweeted this: “Yes, Texas offered. I apologize for the confusion. Please don’t text or call for quotes.”
Weird that a reporter “likes” an athlete, in essence, saying “No comment?”
Well, I understand the high school athletes on a different level than most and I get that they can get overwhelmed with reporters, bloggers, fans and weirdos constantly hounding them every night.
I’m shocked more athletes don’t take Rosen’s approach.
Maybe they should; it’d help their sanity I’m sure.
WHAT I CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF RIGHT NOW …
“Cam Newton is the truth.” – Prime Prep (Dallas) point guard Emmanuel Mudiay
