Last week we had former American Idol Scotty McCreery on the Celeb Chop-Up and one of the most interesting things he told me about, besides him crying on Marley & Me, was that, as an avid North Carolina State fan and student, the high school recruit that hurt him the most to lose was Kentucky freshman Julius Randle.

Of course I know it’s disappointing for any fan base to lose a key recruit, especially one of Randle’s caliber, but it was pretty cool to see a celebrity with a hectic schedule be so dialed in to the high school sports scene.

It’s truly addictive.

I would know.
