Jabrill Peppers is the No. 1 cornerback and No. 2 overall prospect in the Rivals150. After a dominant junior season in which he racked up 70 tackles, three interceptions and 23 touchdowns, Peppers committed to Michigan. Now a senior, Peppers has agreed to give USA TODAY HSS exclusive access into his world by chronicling everything from intimate details about his recruitment to his budding music career in a blog.

Hey, what’s going on world!

It’s your boy Breezy and I’m well into my senior season at this point. So far we’re 4-0 and of course I’m happy about that, but I definitely think we’ve got a lot of room for improvement.

First, we played Gilman and beat them 28-0. It wasn’t our best offensive performance, but our defense played lights out. Then we had Delbarton and we ended up beating them, 30-18. We made a lot of mistakes in that game, but we just had more athletes than they had.

After that we played DePaul and that was really fun for me because I had to lockup one of my main bros Kiy Hester. We knew that if I kept him in check then we’d have that game in the bag. He’s the No. 2 player in Jersey and he’s committed to Rutgers so he’s really talented. Plus, we both have that attitude on the field. We jaw at each other on the field, but off the field it’s all love.

After that game we went out to Ohio and played those big boys from St. Ignatius and beat them, 44-10. I missed most of the first half with a hip pointer. We played a really complete game in that one.

Last week was a bye week, which was much needed for us. We needed to get healthy because we’re going into the stronger half of our schedule. We’ve got St. Mark’s, Don Bosco, St. Joes, Friendship Academy and Bergen Catholic so we’ve definitely gotta minimize our mistakes and play at an elite level at all times.

I would give our performance as a team so far this season a C+; like I said there’s a lot of room to grow.

That said, look out for me and my boys; we’re coming!

OK I know you guys want to know about me trying to bring my boy D Hand (DaShawn Hand) over to Michigan with me, and I’m still feeling really good about doing that.

His announcement date is Nov. 14 and it’s getting closer and closer. I feel like we’ve got the upper hand because he visited us during the Notre Dame game and that was the perfect game for him to be at. The atmosphere was crazy and we got the win.

I hit him up every once in a while to see how he’s doing so I know he’s doing his thing in his last year like me. I’m feeling like we’ll probably be doing our thing on the field together next year too.

But, at the end of the day, that’s my dude; wherever he goes he’s got a fan in me.

I’ve definitely fell back on my music a little since the season started because I want to give all of my focus to football. I just like to stay focused on one task. So between school and football I’m pretty loaded down.

Aight y’all I’ve gotta get out of here, y’all already know how I do; it’s Breezy’s world and I’ll keep you updated!

Stay tuned for big news throughout the week and stay tuned for my man DaShawn Hand’s big announcement on Nov. 14… It’s gonna be a great day for Michigan, hopefully.

I’m out.
