Fremont Ross’s boys track team established two meet relay records to finish third at the Three Rivers Athletic Conference championships.
Jacob Luc, Dylan Starks, Drew Starks and De Churchya ran the 4X200 relay in 1 minute, 29.06 seconds to top the old mark of 1:29.64 from last season. Luc, Jeff Barnett and the Starkses finished the 4X100 relay at 43.04 to top the 43.08 from last season.
Ariana Spencer won the long jump as the Little Giants’ girls were fifth.
Jared Ballenger won both throwing events.
“Jared has consistently been throwing great week in and week out,” Ross coach John Elder said. “There were some outstanding performances by our kids this week. We competed very well.
“We expect our champions to advance to regionals and we think many can get out of regionals.”
Lou Guardiola established a school record to finish fourth in the 3,200 at 9:37. Jeremiah Wagner set the old mark at state at 9:38 in 1995.
Notre Dame Academy won the girls portion while Whitmer took the boys.
