Trailing 32-27 entering the fourth quarter, the Waupun girls basketball team outscored New Holstein 20-8 over the final 8 minutes to come away with a 47-40 win in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Kelsey Thompson, Kallyn Krohn and Taylor Dolske each had nine points for the Warriors, who evened their record at 11-11. Thompson added four assists.

The Lions closed an 8-point fourth quarter deficit down to 2, but the Vikings held them off by going 5-of-6 at the free-throw line down the stretch.

No one had more than eight points for either team, while Lomira went just 2-for-13 on 3-pointers.

The Spartans trailed by 12 with two minutes left to go when they hit some late 3-pointers to close the gap but couldn’t get any closer than the final margin.

Kelsey Birschbach and Karlie Huebschman both had 10 points to lead Laconia’s offense in a regular season finale.

The Oaks trailed by seven at halftime, outscored the Rockets 10-2 in the third, but Randolph got to the free-throw line too many times in the fourth and pulled ahead for the win.

Randolph (16-5) made 16-of-22 at the stripe, while Oakfield (11-9) made just 2-of-3.

Alyza Streeter led Oakfield with nine points, while Michayla Swanson and Carley Reuter each had 12 for the Rockets.

The visiting TigerSharks outscored CWC 14-7 in the third quarter and that proved to be the difference in a close Trailways game.

Katrina Regnerus scored 10 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out six assists and had four steals for a very busy night.

Lydia Greenfield led the Crusaders with 15 points.

Hannah Lashock paced Princeton/Green Lake with 22 points.

“The difference was their shooting in the third quarter,” said CWC coach Charlie Mulder. “They had four 3s — all in the third quarter. We were down by 8 in the third, because we let them get some open looks form the 3-point line and they made them.”

The Cardinals trailed by only two after one quarter and by 10 at halftime before the Chargers outscored them 44-14 the rest of the way.

KML’s Mikayla Voigt had 16 points, while Sarah Jo Basse and Andrea Meinert each added 13.

Mayville’s Kate Bemis had 14 points.
