Alexa Taylor and Shahrzad Frost scored consecutive goals four minutes apart in the second half to break a tie game as host West Muskingum topped John Glenn 5-3 in Muskingum Valley League girls soccer play Thursday.

The Tornadoes (5-0-2, MVL, 8-1-2) held a 3-1 halftime lead, but Kerrie Dolick scored twice in four minutes — off an assist each from Jacqueline Williams and Alli Hylton — to tie the game for the Muskies (4-3-0, 6-5-0).

Taylor then converted in the 16th minute to give West Muskingum the lead for good, and Frost followed with a goal in the 20th minute.

Taylor also scored off a Kaitlyn Graham pass in the first half, but Dolick scored off an assist from Hylton to tie it at 1.

Cameron Smith then scored unassisted and fed Frost for a goal to make it 3-1.

John Glenn held a 13-7 advantage in shots on goal. Chelcey Tusing had four saves for the Tornadoes and Hannah Stephen had eight for the Muskies.
