Tri-Valley highlighted Division II teams at the Claymont sectional, grabbing a pair of individual championships to place third as a team with 142 points. Claymont won with 242.5 points.
Kade Kowalski won the 132-pound title with a tech fall against Claymont’s Drew Dillon, and Austin Jones took the 195-pound crown by pinning Minerva’s Harrison Hoppel to lead the Scotties. Slade Tyson (113) took second, and Austin Smith (106), Matt Fellows (152), Connor Moran (182) and Tyler Edwards-Frick (285) all were fourth.
Hayden Matheney (126) led Morgan with a second-place finish, Dakota Westfall (152) placed third and Kody Driggs (145) and Kaleb Driggs (170) were fourth.
At the Buckeye Local sectional, Alex Presley will be the lone representative for Maysville after winning a 6-4 decision against Carrollton’s Tyler Dodd for the 195-pound title.
Matt Tom (182), Stone Morgan (195) and Luke Larson (220) all placed third and Ben Van Wey (132) and Tanner Corder (152) were fourth for John Glenn. Luke Miller (145) and Steven Frazier (160) placed second, and Ross Barker (170) and Payton Henderson (220) were fourth for Philo.
In Division III, West Muskingum scored 31 points as Grant Pumphrey (145) moved on with a fourth-place finish in the Barnesville sectional.
