East Tennessee teams did very well on the opening day of the 2013 Blue Cross Spring Fling TSSAA Championships.
Farragut beat Centennial 6-3 and Pigeon Forge whipped Elizabethton 10–0 in baseball, while Gibbs and Oliver Springs won in softball, Maryville, Farragut and CAK advanced in soccer.
In tennis, Webb’s boys and girls both beat St. George’s to advance, while the CAK Boys moved on in A-AA and the Catholic Boys advanced in AAA.
