Oakland’s Erik Eilers tossed a no-hitter in a 9-0 Patriots’ victory over Smyrna on Tuesday night.
Eilers struck out 10 of the 22 batters he faced, and he also went 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs.
Oakland won it’s 10th straight to improve to 14-4 overall and 2-2 in District 7-AAA play. The Patriots pounded out 11 hits, with Peter Newman collecting three and Alex Ward two. Smyrna fell to 7-8 overall and 1-3.

Philip Bonabi pitched four innings to pick up the win, and Kyle Howard worked three scoreless frames to record his first save of the season.
Joe Warner had two hits and an RBI, Howard had two hits, including a double, and Austin Melton had a double, and two RBIs. Lucas Smith, Bonabi and Caleb Gibson all had a hit for the Cougars, who improved to 8-2 overall and 6-0 in District 9-A play.
Forrest 11, Eagleville 1
Justin Woodard had two hits for Eagleville, while Clayton Kennedy, Josh McCrary and Darin Knox had one each.
DeKalb Co. 11, Central Magnet 5
Tyler Egawa and Austin Worley each had two hits for the Tigers, who fell to 7-2 and 2-2.
MTCS 13, Fayetteville 2
Abby Sweeney had a home run, two doubles, a triple and three RBIs for the Lady Cougars (3-0). Shelby Beckham and Kayla Pickard each had three hits, and Claire Patton picked up the win.
