Ryan Jones came within one assist of a triple-double for the Siegel boys basketball team Tuesday night.
He finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in the Stars’ 66-43 win against Mt. Juliet, which was led by Nolan Chowbay (11 points).
Charles Clark added 20 points for Siegel (3-0). The Stars will host Tullahoma Thursday night.
Smyrna 83, Tullahoma 24: Taylor Vanderbilt scored a team-high 13 points, Darrell Haralson added 11, Jaylen Johnson added 10 and Schavel Glover finished with 10 points to give the Bulldogs (2-0) their second win of the season.
La Vergne 86, Glencliff 65: Chuck Sutton scored 23 points, Dolorean Sparks finished with 15 points and Cortez Shaw added 12 points for the Wolverines (2-0).
Providence Christian 60, Webb 49: Peyton Thomas scored 21 points, Jake Johnson scored 18 points and Ethan Hennis added 16 points for PCA (1-1). Webb’s leading scorers were Chase Hullett (12 points) and Dupo Omitowoju (12).
Smyrna 80, Tullahoma 48: The Lady Bulldogs (1-1) got their first win of the year with Brianna Alexander scoring a game-high 21 points. Other double figures scorers for Smyrna were Tyra Hughes (14 points), Kesha Brady (11), Allie Bolton (11) and Treasure Hunt (11).
Mt. Juliet 47, Siegel 23: The Lady Stars (2-1) suffered their first defeat, as Maddie Francescon led the team with nine points. Mt. Juliet was led by Ronjanae DeGray, who finished with a game-high 17 points.
Glencliff 48, La Vergne 39: The Lady Wolverines outscored Glencliff 18-9 in the fourth quarter were outscored 39-21 in the three quarters. La Vergne’s Latoya Darby scored 14 points and Jasmine Smith added 11, including two 3-pointers.
MTCS 54, Culleoka 34: Abby Buckner scored 20 and Ashlynd Wilkerson added 19 for the Lady Cougars (2-1) in the win.
Eagleville 46, Page 39: The Lady Eagles improved to 2-2 on the year with the road win. Alli Burns scored 18 points and Nicole Duke added 11.
Webb 36, Providence Christian 27: PCA’s (0-2) leading scorer was Emma Christiansen, who finished with 11 points. Webb’s leading scorer was Ellie Boyle. She finished with 14 points.
