Two more All-Ozarks football players have committed to the Missouri State University football program.

Republic offensive lineman Gus Carter and Nixa kicker Shelby Harris have committed to the Bears, according to their high schools.

Carter, a 6-foot-4, 265-pound offensive tackle, was named first team All-Central Ozark Conference for coach Kurt Thompson, who was fired at the end of the 5-6 season.

Harris was 42 for 46 on extra points and 3 of 4 on field goals for coach Rich Rehagen’s football team. He also had 42 touchbacks for the Eagles.

The pair has joined Webb City’s Phoenix Johnson and Monett’s Kurran Blamey as MSU commits from the News-Leader’s All-Ozarks team. The players will sign in ceremonies at their schools next week.
