What: Under Armour Anatomix Spawn Basketball Shoe
When: Sept. 1
How much: $120
The Scoop: Under Armour recently unveiled the Anatomix Spawn, the brand’s most innovative basketball sneaker designed to work with the muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones in the foot to help get the most out of each step.
As evidenced in the outsole, the make up features pods of herringbone and textured clear ice rubber, which are meant to provide traction and grip where the foot most needs it.
To air the foot, the shoe includes exposed mesh along the forefoot, middle and top areas. Foam along the tongue is intended to provide a custom fit to keep the foot from sliding; the feature is also purposed to reduce lace bite.
The Anatomix Spawn shoe, which will be worn by the likes of Brandon Jennings and Kemba Walker, drops Sept. 1 in six colors.
