The University of West Florida’s baseball team survived a ninth-inning scare from visiting Mobile at Jim Spooner Field on Wednesday.

The Argonauts (9-1) led 5-0 at the start of the ninth inning, but timely hitting by the Rams and a pair of UWF errors had the visitors within one run before UWF reliever Josh McLaney struck out the only batter he faced to end the game.
