Season highlights: Toris successfully defended her Division I state championships in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100 freestyle. She won the 50 in 23.12 seconds, an automatic All-America time. Her time in the 100 was 50.55 seconds, just off her best of 49.87, set last year. Toris anchored Pinnacle’s winning 200 freestyle relay (1:36.05, atumatic All-American).
Toris’ comments: “I think I had a good season. I was swimmer of the meet, which was a shock to me. I feel I have a lot of room to improve.”
