Vikings' Chris Colla headed to state golf

Notre Dame Sectional: Winnebago Lutheran Academy was just 10 strokes from heading to state, but its 352 wasn’t enough as the Vikings finished third in the Division 2 sectional held at Thornberry Greek in Oneida.

Host Notre Dame (312) and Berlin (342) were the top two teams and earned a trip to state.

WLA’s Chris Colla was the lone Viking to make it to state, after he shot a 79 (tied for seventh) and won in a playoff against Luxemberg Casco’s David Spengler. Eric Schroeder finished 10th overall with a 81 for the Vikings while Tim Anderson added a 93.
