The Our Lady of Lourdes High School volleyball team went on the road and defeated Carmel on Wednesday 25-18, 20-25, 25-23, 25-12 behind Samantha Blanchfield’s 18 assists, 10 kills, six digs, three aces and two blocks.
Lourdes also received 19 kills, nine digs, seven aces and three assists from Briana Garnot.
The Warriors travel to Brewster at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Marlboro 3, John A. Coleman Catholic 0 — Olivia Morehead had seven digs and three kills as the host Iron Dukes defeated the Stateswomen 25-9, 25-12, 25-9.
Kayla Garitta dished out six assists for Marlboro (4-2), while Amber Mianti had six aces and three digs.
Mahopac 3, Haldane 2 — The Blue Devils were edged on the road 25-22, 17-25, 19-25, 25-23, 29-27.
Kelly Vahos racked up 35 kills, 14 digs and four blocks in the losing effort, while Sara Chirico had 32 assists, six kills, five aces and five digs. Brooke Vahos had 23 assists and six digs, and Katie Cunningham had 12 kills and 10 digs.
Haldane dropped to 1-3.
“It was a disappointing match,” Haldane coach Melissa Rossano said. “We came out strong a couple of times and then we let up and Mahopac definitely took advantage of it.”
Putnam Valley 3, Poughkeepsie 1 — The visiting Pioneers (2-4) fell short 26-24, 25-15, 22-25, 25-19 despite eight kills, six assists and five blocks from Zaire Green.
Shana Martin made 27 digs and Da’shawna Sellers had 14 digs and eight kills. Nina Scott had nine assists.
Hendrick Hudson 3, Roy C. Ketcham 0 — Alison Savidge had five kills and two digs in the 25-4, 25-5, 25-14 road loss.
Ketcham (2-4) hosts Carmel on Friday.
New Paltz 3, Coleman 1 — Taylor Keller led the Huguenots late Tuesday to a 25-20, 27-25, 22-25, 25-15 victory, with eight kills and nine digs.
“It was her strongest match of the season,” New Paltz coach Erin O’Sullivan said.
“It’s her first year on varsity and she is doing a good job.”
Stephanie Silva had four digs for New Paltz, while senior Caroline Aurigemma had 14 assists and eight aces. New Paltz improved to 2-4 on the season.
