Valley High School teammates Courtney Chacon, Brynn Eckardt and Patty Esch all played together.

“I have my best friend Patty and my cousin Brynn so it’s just awesome to play with them one last time before we go our separate ways next year. It means a lot,” Courtney Chacon told 9NEWS.

This caps off quite a year for the ladies who won the 3A state volleyball championship with a perfect 29-0 record.

“I didn’t get to play my junior year because I tore my ACL so coming back and winning that state title with them was amazing,” Eckardt told 9NEWS.

With their high school head coach, Rene Aafedt, on the bench in Alamosa the trio won the All-State Game championship as well.

“I was an alternate, so I got this opportunity later on, I’m definitely grateful that I got it,” said Esch. “It’s awesome to go out and win this with my teammates.”

The Valley grads got back together to win another championship, and yes, they’re still undefeated this year.
