Tim Willey walked on a 3-2 pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning, giving the Wall baseball team a 1-0 non-divisional win over Manasquan on Tuesday.

With two out, Chris Barcas reached first base on a throwing error. Dan Wondrack and Jack Gifford walked to load the bases, setting the stage for the walk-off walk.

Vince Amato (1-0) pitched a perfect 10th, striking out one for the Crimson Knights (16-3). Wall starter Tyler Swiggart hurled nine innings, striking out three, walking two and allowing six hits.

Manasquan’s Jimmy Walsh (1-7) pitched 9 2/3 innings for the Warriors (4-15).

He struck out six, walked four and allowed one earned run on six hits.

POINT BEACH 5, HENRY HUDSON 4: Sean Struncius’ run-scoring single with two out in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded gave the Garnet Gulls (10-7, 5-4) a win over the Admirals (7-9, 5-9) in Class B Central.

Struncius went 3-for-4, including one double, and drove in two runs. The Garnet Gulls tied the game at four with two down in the seventh on an RBI single by junior outfielder Ryan Prima in his first career varsity at-bat.

Teammate Mike Allegretta went 2-for-3, plated one run and scored one.

Henry Hudson’s Jim Trivett drove in two runs. Teammate Bob Kolb went 2-for-2 and knocked in one run.

FREEHOLD TWP. 2, PINELANDS 0: Junior right fielder Julius Saporito lofted a sacrifice fly for the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth and junior righty Joe DeCelie pitched five scoreless innings of relief for the Patriots (10-12) in their non-divisional victory over the Wildcats (4-15).

Saporito put the Patriots ahead, 3-2, with a fly to right with one out on the first pitch. Senior designated hitter Steve Ginter followed with a two-out RBI double to left on a 1-1 offering for a 4-2 lead. DeCelie (3-1) struck out seven, walked one and surrendered one hit.

RARITAN 9, RED BANK 6: Nick Pasquenza went 2-for-5, drove in three runs and scored one and Bruce Strickland went 2-for-3, plated two runs and scored one to lead the visiting Rockets (9-9) past the Bucs (10-12) in non-divisional action.

The Bucs’ Jacob Nappi went 4-for-4, drove in two runs and scored one.

CBA 7, MARLBORO 0: Senior right-hander Chase Stopyra (1-0) tossed a three-hitter to lead the host Colts (15-3, 12-2) past the Mustangs (10-10, 6-8) in Class A North.

Stopyra struck out five and walked three. The Colts took a 3-0 lead in the second on a two-out RBI double to left-center by Mike Caputo and a two-run double to right-center by Anthony Critelli. Caputo and Critelli connected on 3-1 and 1-2 pitches, respectively.

Teammate Ryan Ramiz went 2-for-3, drove in two runs and scored one.


FREEHOLD 10, NEPTUNE 3: Madison DeJesus pitched and batted the Colonials (6-12) past the visiting Scarlet Fliers (6-12) in the Monmouth County Tournament Blue Division semifinals.

DeJesus (6-12) scattered 10 hits, struck out nine and walked three. She stroked three hits, including two doubles, in four at-bats and drove in one run. Teammate Gabby Romanowski went 2-for-4 and plated two runs.

Neptune’s Kelly Jardine hit a two-run single in the first for a 2-0 lead. Teammate Christina Blue went 2-for-4.

RARITAN 6, MATER DEI 0: Winning pitcher Emily Schaffer slugged three homers, including her 100th career hit, in three at-bats, drove in four runs and scored three to power the host Rockets (14-8) past the Seraphs (16-2) in non-divisional action.

Schaffer, a junior, hit a two-run shot to key a two-run fourth-inning as the Rockets went ahead, 3-0. She tossed a four-hitter, striking out seven and walking none.

JACKSON LIBERTY 18, LAKEWOOD 0: Amy Hickman blanked the Piners (2-15, 0-14) on one hit for the host Lions (13-6, 11-3) in Class B South.

Hickman (5-3) laced two hits, including one double, in five at-bats, scored two runs and drove in one. Freshman third baseman Ashley Eckett went 2-for-4, drove in three runs and scored two.

Chelsea Czapkowski went 2-for-3, scored three runs and drove in one run. April Szmczyk went 2-for-4, plated four runs and scored two.

KEANSBURG 22, LONG BRANCH 3: Ashley Andalora went 3-for-3 and scored three runs to lead the visiting Titans (5-12) past the Green Wave (2-17) in non-divisional action.
