Warren East High School pitcher Hunter Green was named Mr. Baseball on Thursday by the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association.
Green went 3-1 with a 0.14 ERA and 110 strikeouts in just 512⁄3 innings as a senior and became Warren East’s second Mr. Baseball in three years, joining 2011 winner Mark Biggs. Green was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the second round last week.
Pleasure Ridge Park’s Bill Miller, who won the state title and set the state record with 1,115 career victories, was named Coach of the Year.
