Athletic achievement: He led the Frogs (24-4) to the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference championship this past season. Culp posted a 5-0 record, a 1.74 ERA, 76 strikeouts in 41.1 innings and threw a pair of no-hitters in 2013. A three-time First Team All-Conference selection, he also batted .391 with 28 RBI, 24 runs and a .550 slugging percentage.

Academic excellence: Culp has maintained a B average.

Exemplary character: He has served as the head of his school’s booster club and has volunteered locally as a youth volleyball coach.


“Andrew Culp has been the heart and soul of our team since he’s been here,” said Maret School head coach Antoine Williams. “He is a leader on and off the field and one of the finest players I’ve had the privilege to coach.”

THE FUTURE: Culp has signed with Tulane.
