Athletic achievement: She won two individual state titles, both in record times, at the Class 4A state meet this spring and led the Papermakers to a fifth-place finish as a team. Efraimson won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.17 and the 1600 in 4:39.25, the latter of which ranked as the nation’s No. 2 performance among prep competitors in 2013 at the time of her selection. Efraimson’s best times in the 1500 of 4:16.00 and 800 of 2:06.54 ranked as the nation’s No. 3 and No. 5 performances, respectively, among prep competitors this spring.
Academic excellence: Efraimson has maintained a 3.89 GPA.
Exemplary character: She has volunteered locally in multiple community service initiatives in association with her school’s Key Club and National Honor Society in addition to donating her time as a youth soccer referee.
