Webster Thomas rallies to beat Irondequoit in girls lacrosse

Junior Jessica Boddery scored the winner on a free position 8-meter shot in overtime as Webster Thomas rallied to defeat Irondequoit 9-8 in Monroe County lacrosse on Monday.

The Titans (8-1) trailed 8-4 with 13 minutes left.

Emily Resnick, who finished with five goals, scored three goals in a five-minute span to pull Webster Thomas to within 8-7. Eighth-grader Emily Glagolev netted the game-tying goal with three minutes left. Jen Reininger had four goals for Irondequoit (7-3).

Pittsford 13, Brighton 12

Allie Panara scored the winner with two seconds left off an assist from Carolyn Randall to lift Pittsford (7-2). Holly Turner scored her fifth goal with 3:32 remaining to tie the game for the Panthers.

Churchville-Chili 15, Brockport 6

Carly Zimmerman tallied five goals and five assists and Emily Hawryschuk added six goals for the Saints (5-5).

Honeoye Falls-Lima 17, Rush-Henrietta 7

Christie Powell scored four goals, and Sarah Legrett added four goals and an assist for HF-L (5-3).

Victor 15, Fairport 12

Megan Maloney recorded six goals and two assists and Alyssa Fries added three goals and one assist for Victor (7-3).

Penfield 8, Canandaigua 7

Emma Powlin had three goals and one assist and Sheila Nesselbush added two goals and one assist for Penfield (6-3).

Gates Chili 12, Spencerport 10

Claire Cannon totaled eight goals and Emma Hernandez chipped in two goals for Gates Chili (2-5).

Greece Arcadia/Olympia 9, Greece Athena/Odyssey 6

Danielle Kutzer scored three goals and Brianne Rizarri made 16 saves to lift the Lightning (2-6).

Palmyra-Macedon 19, Midlakes 8

Rachel Rowles tallied four goals and three assists for Pal-Mac (6-2).

Victoria Ollocco finished 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI and Alli DiGiacomo went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI to lead Victor (4-7).

Brighton 5, Pittsford Sutherland 0

Katherine Ghyzel pitched a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts to record her first shutout of the season for Brighton (6-4).

Pittsford Mendon 5, Fairport 2

Anna Valentine struck out seven and Courtney Case went 3-for-3 with a home run and triple for Mendon (6-2).

Greece Athena 8, Rush-Henrietta 0

Sierra Valentine tied her career high with 15 strikeouts for Athena (5-4).

Deanna Palma went 3-for-3 with a double and five RBI for Hilton (3-7).

Marshall/Freddie Thomas 10-7, School of the Arts 8-8

Charity Seda and Natasha Carter each went 3-for-3 for in Game 1 for Marshall/Freddie Thomas (4-5). Emma Mryglod went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Game 2 for SOTA (4-5).

East 12, Edison 6

Salina Berroa was 3-for-4 with two runs scored for East (5-4).

Wilson 19, Franklin 4

Zoe Behncke went 3-for-4 with five RBI and Emma Serapilio-Frank was 2-for-2 with four RBI to lead Wilson (9-0).

Wayne 6, Palmyra-Macedon 4

Maria Leone went 3-for-3 with a double to power Wayne (4-7).

Gananda 12, Williamson 3

Darci MacFall went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI for Gananda (9-3).
