Astronaut (3-6) at Melbourne (7-2)

7 p.m.

Last week: The War Eagles defeated Titusville, 21-14, and the Bulldogs defeated Sebastian River, 33-14.

Notes: Non-district game. The War Eagles started 2-0 and can win their last two by beating Melbourne. The Bulldogs have won six consecutive, not losing since Sept. 13. They’ve allowed an average of 10.2 points in that stretch.

Cocoa (8-1) at Rockledge (3-6)

7, McLarty Stadium

Last week: The Tigers won at Orlando Jones, 42-0, and the Raiders lost at Merritt Island, 20-3.

Notes: Non-district game. Annual Barbecue Bowl. Cocoa has won the last seven and leads the series, 18-16. The Raiders last won in 2005, 22-12. The Tigers have won 25 games in a row against Brevard County opponents.

Space Coast (6-3) at Titusville (4-5)


Last week: The Vipers won at Port Orange Atlantic, 24-9, on Thursday, and the Terriers lost at Astronaut, 21-14.

Notes: Non-district game. The Terriers beat the Vipers last year, 51-14, their sixth win in eight games between the rivals. Vipers QB Nick Rittenhouse still passed for 243 yards in the game. This game has been within five points five of the past seven years.

Satellite (4-5) at Cocoa Beach (1-8)


Last week: The Scorpions lost to Palm Bay, 42-6. The Minutemen defeated Eau Gallie, 19-14.

Notes: Non-district game. Ninth annual Beach Bowl. Satellite leads the overall series, 10-9, but Cocoa Beach has won the last two, including 49-21 last year. Since the series was resumed in 2005, Cocoa Beach leads, 6-2.

Sebastian River (2-7) at Heritage (9-0)


Last week: The Sharks lost at Melbourne, 33-14. The Panthers beat Bayside, 41-28.

Notes: Non-district game. The Sharks have lost three in a row. The Panthers have won 19 of their past 21 games. That includes a 29-0 win at Sebastian River last November in the first playoff game in Heritage history.

Harmony (5-4) at Eau Gallie (6-3)


Last week: The Longhorns lost to Lake Nona, 56-7. The Commodores lost to Cocoa Beach, 19-14.

Notes: Non-district game. Harmony has won five of its last seven games and has shut out three opponents. The Commodores can win seven games for the first time since 2002. They’ve averaged 22 points the last four games.

Foundation (3-6) at Holy Trinity (6-2)


Last week: The Lions lost at Agape Christian, 22-14, while the Tigers lost to MCC, 59-21.

Notes: Non-district game. The Lions have two forfeit losses from early in the season. The 59 points given up by the Tigers against MCC was the most they’ve allowed. Holy Trinity plays at No. 1 Tampa Catholic in the regional quarterfinals.

Merritt Island (9-0) at Ponte Vedra (2-7)


Last week: The Mustangs beat Rockledge, 20-3, and the Sharks lost to Palatka, 35-20.

Notes: Non-district game. The Sharks have scored 16 or more points in seven of nine games. They won nine games last year. The Mustangs rose to fourth in the Class 5A state poll. This is their first game outside Brevard since last year.

Melbourne Central Catholic (9-0) at Lake Highland Prep (0-8)

7, Orlando

Last week: The Hustlers won at Holy Trinity, 59-21. The Highlanders lost at Bishop Moore, 42-13.

Notes: Non-district game. The Highlanders have given up 41 or more points to their last five opponents. They have a loss to Titusville, 34-0, on Sept. 6. The Hustlers moved up to third in the Class 3A state poll this week.

Merritt Island Christian (1-8) at Legacy Charter (2-7)

7, Ocoee

Last week: The Cougars lost at Cornerstone Charter, 49-30, and Legacy Charter lost at International Community, 30-13.

Notes: This is a Sunshine State Athletic Conference playoff game and the season finale for the Cougars. Legacy Charter last won on Oct. 4, 27-0 against Central Florida Christian. MIC’s win was a forfeit victory over Calvary Christian on Oct. 11.
