West Lafayette's Mann scores eight goals in soccer victory over Logansport

LOGANSPORT – Shelby Mann continued her outstanding start for the West Lafayette girls soccer team Monday night, scoring eight goals in the Red Devils’ 13-2 victory over Logansport.

Mann scored five goals in the first half, two on assists from Erin Brophy and the first of two goals assisted by Kylie Tracanna. Mann has scored in all three matches for West Lafayette (2-1) and has 13 goals in all.

Maya Alexander added two goals and two assists for the Red Devils.

Girls soccer

Benton Central 0

OXFORD – Haley Crowe scored three times, and the Mavericks (3-1) did not allow a shot on goal.

Parker Hiday and Koral Briggs each added two goals.

Harrison 2,
Kokomo 1

KOKOMO – Katie Bond assisted on goals by Katie Musi and Sydney Rainey in the first half for the Raiders (2-2).

Central Catholic 9, Faith Christian 1

Alaina Milazzo scored two of her three goals during a seven-goal second half for the Knights.

Megan Smith added a pair of goals for CC (1-1).

FRANKFORT – The Knights were held to minus-.034 hitting but received six aces apiece from Bre Fickle and Maddie Matson.

McCutcheon 3, Kokomo 1

KOKOMO – Kiana Fields collected 12 kills on .524 hitting for the Mavericks.

Jordan Foster and Sydney Tracer set up the offense with 24 and 18 assists, respectively. Mikayla Berning added nine kills on .421 hitting.

Zionsville 3

North Montgomery 2

LINDEN – Megan Warren had 37 assists and Shelby Delp recorded eight kills to lead the Chargers.

South Newton 3

Tri-County 0

KENTLAND – Morgan Richards had 12 kills on a .476 hitting percentage for the Rebels in their Midwest Conference opener.

Laura Walder collected eight kills and eight digs for Tri-County.

Tri-West 3

Clinton Prairie 1

JEFFERSON – Jade Mulvaney had 17 kills for the Gophers.

Westfield 3

Clinton Central 1

WESTFIELD – Sydney Unger contributed 10 kills and 11 digs for the Bulldogs.
