The Manitowoc Lincoln boys golf team’s Sasha Oosting earned a trip to sectionals by shooting an 87 to tie for 15th individually at Wednesday’s WIAA Division 1 State Golf Tournament regional at Quit Qui Oc in Elkhart Lake.
Manitowoc Lincoln finished the eight-team regional in seventh with a 375 to finish behind winner Sheboygan North’s 277.
By not finishing in the top four the Ships did not advance as a team, but the WIAA website states that the top four individual finishers from each regional not on a sectional-qualifying team advance, meaning Oosting’s season continues.
