Kiel’s Brooke Iserloth finished off her high school career in a place most divers only dream of: the WIAA Division 2 Girls State Diving Meet in Madison.

Not only did she get to finish her career at the University of Wisconsin Natatorium, she got to compete there twice.

Iserloth placed 14th at the meet with a score of 234.25, an improvement over her 16th-place finish of a year ago. As she reflected upon her performance, the senior acknowledged that she left it all out there in her final meet.

“I definitely tried my hardest,” Iserloth said. “I was very calm throughout the whole thing. I was a lot less nervous than I was last year.”

Kiel head diving coach Darryll Matthies was proud of the effort Iserloth put forth.

“I think she did very well,” Matthies said. ” She had that one dive that set her back, but overall she was very consistent. I was very happy with her performance.”

Edgewood freshman Ginger Lingard won the event with a score of 451.10.
