IRWINTON – Thirteen seniors will help lead Coach James Hagins and his team toward another possible playoff push. Hagins brings a lot of experience back on both sides of the ball with 6 players a piece, from an 8-4 finish in 2012. This group of seniors were freshman when the Warriors reached the final four back in 2010 and Hagins feels this class gives him high hopes for a final four return.
“I think this team can go a little further than last year,” says Hagins. “I believe they are a little stronger and quicker. If we can hold things together until we can get Darrell Lewis back I think we’ll be real strong. We’re counting on him to come back from an injury of a broken leg and we’ll be real strong.”
You may recall Lewis broke his leg during a Georgia Southern camp hosted at FPD earlier this summer but is expected to return within 3-4 weeks.
