WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y.-Williamsville South beat Williamsville East 28 to 7 Saturday afternoon at East.

South head coach Kraig Kurzanski told Two On Your Side’s Stu Boyar ” its the first time in a long time we beat both Williamsville schools in the same season. We had some adversity, trailing 7-6 at halftime, then we scored the next 22 points so that was good.”

The Billies trailed 7-6 at halftime but took over the game in the second half. Junior quarterback Sam Castronova was 20 for 40 for 303 yards and three touchdowns. Castronova also ran for a touchdown.

Kevin Mason caught a 79 yard touchdown pass from Castronova. Mason finished with 137 receiving yards. Jeremy Spitzberg caught an 11 yard touchdown pass and Matt Foster caught a 9 yard touchdown pass. Foster finished with 67 yards receiving.

Antonio Zendano and Jake Fuzak each had six tackles for the Billies who improve to 5-1 on the season.

Williamsville South is home against unbeaten McKinley next Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7-pm.
