After trailing for most of the game, Winchester’s boys basketball team came back for a 59-56 win at Shenandoah on Wednesday night. Winchester coach Rick Owens said his team got its first lead with less than two minutes to go, but credited good free-throw shooting late for allowing the Golden Falcons to maintain the advantage.
Kiante Enis scored 17 points to lead Winchester. He was one of two Winchester players to score in double-figures. The other was Jordan Yaryan, who scored 14 points. Brandon Edwards and Alan Brutchen each scored nine points for the Golden Falcons.
With the win, Winchester improves to 3-2. It will host Union County on Friday. Shenandoah slips to 3-2, and will play at Cowan on Dec. 28.
