The Winneconne Wolves sure got their postseason started off the right way.
The Wolves hung 13 goals on the Ripon Tigers in a 13-0 drubbing in Winneconne in a WIAA Division 2 regional game on Thursday.
Courtney Swandlund got the Wolves going quickly, scoring a hat trick in a just under 15 minutes. By that time the Wolves already had a 4-0 lead.
Winneconne kept pouring it on. They would get two more goals in before haltime thanks to Bailey Reoh and the onslaught continued after the break when the Wolves got two goals apiece from Michelle Walker, Valerie Kopiske and Jessica Kron to end the game early.
Kron also tallied two assists in the win, while Walker, Lizzi Pettit, Katie Knitt, Kajali Robinson and Megan Berndt all tallied single assists for the Wolves.
Winneconne moves on to face Fox Valley Lutheran at home on Saturday. Game time is at 4 p.m.
