Maustin Otterstatter tied the game and then won it for the Winnebago Lutheran boys basketball team in a 38-36 home win against Watertown Luther Prep.

The senior tied the game with about 35 seconds remaining. Then Luther Prep was called for traveling with 15 seconds remaining and Mitch McFarlane found Otterstatter coming off screens and he swished a 15-foot jumper at the buzzer to win it.

“It was obviously a much needed win,” said WLA coach Jeremiah Hoffmann. “It was important to come out and win. We didn’t play as well as we would have liked, but its a win.”

Otterstatter led the offense with 11 points and tied Ben Wolff for the team lead with six rebounds. Kevin Seibel had five assists and Drew Stroede had four steals.
