WLA at Kiel Invitional: The Vikings picked up a championship Saturday, going 3-0 to improve to 11-3-1 overall.
WLA didn’t give up a goal all day throughout three games, defeating Kiel 3-0, Oostburg 1-0 and then New Holstein 1-0 in the title game.
Against Kiel, the Vikings had two goals from Robin Yoon and one from Garrett Clary — all in the second half.
Against No. 4 Oostburg, Yoon scored in the third minute and the defense held up the rest of the way.
In the championship, Brady Kollman scored with 12 minutes remaining to break a scoreless tie for the win.
Caleb King made eight total saves on the day.
“It’s always a thrill to take home the championship plaque,” WLA coach Dave Haag said. “We played some good offensive teams today, so to turn in three clean sheets is quite an accomplishment.”
