Yorktown and Shenandoah both qualified their boys and girls teams for cross country regionals by advancing Tuesday from the Pendleton Heights Sectional.
The Tigers placed third in the boys, and the Raiders were fifth. In the girls meet, Yorktown was fourth and Shenandoah fifth.
Yorktown’s Chris Lowry placed third in the boys race. Ashton Lane led Shenandoah with a 25th-place run.
For the girls, Carly Trulock was third for the Tigers, and Kate Graddy was 15th for the Raiders.
New Castle’s boys and girls advanced to a regional from the Connersville Sectional. The boys were second and the girls third.
Sam Willis placed second for the Trojans in the boys race, and Alaina Murali was ninth to lead the New Castle girls.
Blackford’s Brady Swartz advanced from the boys side of the Marion Sectional with a time of 18:59, while fellow Bruin Bailey Cline advanced on the girls side with a 22:36.
