Zanesville bowlers knock off Logan


The Blue Devils boys and girls varsity teams beat Logan in a South Central Ohio Conference match at Sunrise Strikes.

The Blue Devils (6-3) edged Logan 2,367-2,323. Brandon Travis set a Zanesville school record with a 267-513 series, Matt Devoll added a 213-425 and Wyatt Miller a 222-415.

The Lady Devils stayed perfect (10-0) with a 2,186-1,937 victory. Tamaira Hina was five pins shy of a school record with a 245-460 series. Erika Savage scored a 235-394 and Wandetta Clouse a 204-361.

Chandler Arms’ 226-431 and Jordan Castle’s 222-402 led the Logan boys, and the girls were paced by Kyli Boetcher with a 208-365 and Lakota Boetcher with a 194-362.

The Zanesville boys reserve team won 1,925-1,831 thanks to Baker games of 176 and 185. Josh Hamilton had a 207-386 and Blake Snyder a 73-331 for Zanesville.

The Zanesville girls reserve team lost 1,492-1,467 as Josie Brown scored a 166-284.

Zanesville hosts New Lexington today.
