The Zanesville and Rosecrans girls teams put on a show at the East Central Ohio League Championship meet Friday.
The Blue Devils finished second with 96 points and the Bishops were fourth with 71 points. Dover won the title with 138.5 points.
For Zanesville, LaSheba Hampton finished first in the 100 (12.72), 200 (26.76) and was a member of the victorious 400 relay (51.78), which also featured double-event winner Tiara Wiggins — who captured the 100 hurdles (15.78) and the 300 hurdles (46.18). Jade Johnson also finished first in the long jump (15-9).
For Rosecrans, Megan Erwine won the 400 (1:00.82), Samantha Swackhammer was runner-up in the 100 hurdles (16.35) and 300 hurdles (48.01) and both were a member of the winning 800 (1:48.61) and 1,600 (4:07.69) relays.
On the boys side, the Blue Devils finished sixth with 63 points and the Bishops ninth with 30 points. River View won the team title with 97 points.
For Zanesville, Austin Gillinger captured the 100 (11.07) and finished in second in the 200 (23.26). James Clark won the 400 (50.45). The Blue Devils also had runner-up finishes in the 400 (44.19) and 1,600 (3:30.35) relays.
Rosecrans was led by David Cline, who won the shot put (52-3¼) and finished fourth in the discus (122-06).
