Connor Zazzo placed first in two events to lead the Ocean boys swim team to a 93-77 win over Marlboro in a nondivisional meet on Thursday.

Zazzo swam a 23.28 in the 50 freestyle and a 58.21 in the 100 butterfly to give the Spartans (8-0) an early lead.

Ocean’s Brendan Gifford won the 200 freestyle (1:15.16), while Sam Lynch won the 100 backstroke (1:02.71) and Jake Yasser placed first in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.21).

Marlboro senior Joe Torres earned the top spot in the 200 individual medley (2:08) and in the 500 freestyle (5:30).

Freshman James Rush won the 100 freestyle (53.33). The Mustangs (5-2) also won the 200 medley relay (1:47.21), and the 200 freestyle relay (1:44.7).

The meet came down to the 400 freestyle relay, where the Spartans held on for the victory by outswimming the Mustangs with a time of 3:33.45.

JACKSON LIB. 94, TR EAST 76: Senior Randall Trasky won the 200 individual medley (2:11.76), and the 100 butterfly (57.97) as the Lions (5-1) defeated the Raiders (2-2) in a nondivisional meet.

Toms River East’s Jake Lewandowski won the 200 freestyle (1:58.03) and the 500 freestyle (5:42.44).

In girls meets

BRICK MEM. 97, TR SOUTH 73: Danielle Kiley won the 500 freestyle (6:28.82), Kim Egan won the 100 backstroke (1:15.10) and Ali Dominguez won the 100 breaststroke (1:18.93) as the Mustangs defeated the Indians.

Brick Memorial also won the 400 freestyle relay (4:23.92).

Toms River South’s Angie Tomasura won the 200 freestyle (2:08.51) and the 100 butterfly (1:04.95), Miranda Farsalla won the 200 individual medley (2:35.92) and 100 freestyle (1:02.13).

The Indians also won the 200 medley relay (2:06.35) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:56.02).

WALL 94, LONG BRANCH 79: Hannah Elliott placed first in the 200 freestyle (2:08.90) and won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:02.26, but the Green Wave (3-4) were outscored by the Crimson Knights (5-3) in a nondivisional meet.

Wall fell short of a first place finish in all individual events, but held on for the victory in the 200 freestyle relay with a 1:58.22 finish.

OCEAN 102, MALBORO 68: Jessica Horner swam a 28.45 to win the 50 freestyle and Emily Saldutti won the 500 freestyle with a 6:09.11 to lead the Spartans (6-2) over the Mustangs (1-5) in a nondivisional meet.

Marlboro’s Risa Goldberg won the 200 individual medley (2:23.69), and the 100 freestyle (1:03.09).
