Coach of the Year

Rod Briggs, Lansing

Won the Lions’ first state basketball championship in school history and posted a 25-0 record. 

First Team

G Clayton Custer, Blue Valley Northwest (Overland Park), 6-1, Sr. (Player of the Year) 
The Iowa State signee averaged 19 points and 4 assists, and the Player of the Year scored 25 points in the Huskies’ 6A state championship game victory. 

G Jahmal McMurray, Highland Park (Topeka), 6-0, Sr.
Averaged 19.6 points for the Scots, who finished second in the 5A state tournament. 

G Joe Schneider, Lansing, 6-1, Sr.
The Air Force signee scored 16.2 points per game and helped the Lions earn their first 5A state title. 

F Jawan Emery, Blue Valley North (Overland Park), 6-5, Sr.
Averaged 16.2 points and led the Mustangs to the 6A state championship game. 

F Dean Wade, St. John, 6-8, Jr.
Led the Tigers to a 2A state title and 26-0 season by averaging 21.9 points, 8 rebounds and 3.7 blocks.
